Are there any mines of the public treasure hunt in Georgia, North Carolina south? Im driving from NY to Fl in October?

Im driving NY to Florida and want to know if there is gold, gems, mines treasure that can pass through any of the states of the East Coast's proximity to the road without going to far astray.
