i know a family in the philippines that found a buried japanese gold treasure from ww2?

they found a buried treasure of gold bars from ww2.,as they were digging on there farm.,im american and live there half a yr.,they are keeping it secret from the ph gov,but want to sell,.would this gold have any historical value other than gold weight value? if i pay what gold is per ounce ,can i make money on this?they have many bars.,thanks in advance for answers
