the parable of the hidden treasure explained
Matthew 13:44. The Parable of the Hidden Treasure .What does it mean?

The Parable of the Hidden Treasure

Matthew 13:44……. 44″The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

Commentary from …..People’s New Testament

13:44 The kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hidden in a field. Valuables which, with us, are entrusted to banks, are in the East buried in fields and gardens to save them from robbers and accidents. The parable teaches the immense value, priceless, of the gospel; and that one who finds out that value will give up everything else in order to possess himself of the privileges and hopes of the kingdom.

Is this commentary correct ?
How would you explain this parable ?
Can you add any relevant scriptures or comments ?

Assalamu Alaikum brother… Shalom:

This is a wonderful parable… and it is a cup that holds much water [wine]… insha’Allah. Alhamdulillah!

“The kingdom of heaven is a treasure hidden within our heart of hearts. When one discovers this… they hide it… so that it is protected from impure thoughts… then they cleanse their heart of impurities by the Grace of God… and by working on their nafs… (see Google)… they obtain the kingdom… insha’Allah.”

Praise be to God!

i agree with the commentary made by People’s New Testament… but it extends not only to the Holy Bible [Gospel] but to the Holy Qu’ran as well and all Sacred Scripture of God. Alhamdulillah! Taqbir!

i/[we] recite verses 111 and 112 of Surah 2 of the Glorious Qur’an…

“And they say: None shall enter the Garden except he who is a Jew, or the Christians. These are their vain desires. Say: Bring your proof if you are truthful.”

“Nay, whoever submits himself entirely to Allah and he is a doer of good (to others), he has his reward from his LORD, and there is no fear for such nor shall they grieve.”

[2:113]
(and all praise is for the LORD our God.) amen.
ma’salam xx

Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi… Tabarak Allahu Rabbu-l-’alamin
peace…
