Is the Dutch East India sunken treasure coin from the Franklin Mint real or is it just a replica?
I wouldn’t mind buying one but i want to know if its real first.
As I remember the coin is real, the Franklin mint just made up the nice package it is in and there should be a piece of paper saying it is authentic. Most of the coins were recovered from the wreck and they are not very rare or scarce. I got a couple of just the coins from a world coin dealer for $10 each a few years ago.
