Comments Off In National Treasure – Book of Secrets, how would finding the gold prove the Gates man innocent?
I was trying to think this through last night, and I just didn’t understand. At the beginning on the movie, everyone already knew that the Confederacy had not found the city of gold, obviously, because they would have used it to win the war, etc.
So how does anything change by finding the treasure? They knew the South hadn’t found it, then they find it, so what? Please explain.
It proves him innocent because Thomas Gates said that itwas the treasure that he was helping to decipher, not plotting to kill Lincoln. If the treasure was real it proved that Thomas Gates was telling the truth and had nothing to do with the assassination of Lincoln.
