I am trying to find out rules for a committee and if there is any and if we can make our own.?

We are currently setting up a playgroup and have ran into a problem. A few weeks back we had a speaker come in to give us info on how to start up and who to contact. He also brought up that we should set up a committee. Which was done but rushed and know one knew what each position of responsibility meant. it is all very mickey mouse and I put forward that we re-do the committee in a proper AGM meeting where everyone can have a say, but there is one person who wants to keep her role as treasure. It hard to have a conversation with this person as she does have cognitive problems. So if need-be are we aloud to re-do the committee if the majority of committee members want to. Which is everyone except her.

Hey paris this is a play group right ? You are not talking about changing the rules for how the UN operates…! All you need is an AGM just like you say then nominations for the different positions on the committee , these can then be seconded if you want to require that. Finally a secret ballot for each position . Though if there is just one nomination for a position then obviously no ballot is needed , the person nominated automatically gets in…As for the responsibilities of each position on the committee that is something the committee members decide together and can alter at a later date if the need arises.
