like finding a needle in a haystack?

So I live on a farm near a store … I took my wife crazy sewing kit and place a needle in a haystack 36 … How can I find … I need it I currently have a sewing project that needs to stop today. the shop is not far away and have a metal detector …. I do not like to repeat the creative responses ….

You could stir continuously the haystack, as the needle is the most dense in the haystack, it will eventually fall the background. Otherwise, take a piece of iron, a car battery and electrical wiring as much as possible and wrap the wire around the iron as often as can, and connect the battery with a pair of jumper cables … Then start digging and not stand next to anything with iron in it
