What is the best use of resources? Metal detectors in schools? Or a law requiring students to wear helmets?

Last year about 6,000 students died in car accidents and another 300,000 were seriously injured. About 24 killed in school shootings. Where are our priorities? Most people who respond seem to ignore the logic (which is perhaps my )…. point for each shot innocent student last year, about 700 died from head trauma caused by a "student related to" car accident …
