What will it take for Americans to take gun control seriously?
Atrosity Following Virginia Tech, what else has to happen for Americans seriously look at our gun control laws. I understand that game hunters and the need that everyone can keep there rifles and shotguns. Sorry, but the Uzi and automatic weapons need to leave. We also have a bit more of a green card, checkbook, and a water bill to buy a gun. And lets get rid of all the metal detectors in front of Congress and the White House. That the people who make these ridiculous laws to go to work like the rest of us. I understand the right to bear arms, howerver if you read a little further, it means that Americans have the right to form a militia. So we go fight the army if necessary. Well, if civilian had to go against the army of today, would be as ridiculous as a deer hunting with an Uzi. Can we try to learn and grow in this horror?
The reason we have guns is to be able to overthrow the government must become oppressors who do not want to fight a M-16 with a rock.
