Prospecting for Gold: Is there a place you can buy a book about where to find gold, silver, platinum?

I just bought a metal detector white and I would use it. After watching "Treasure Hunter" on the Travel Channel wanted to go out and find gold, silver, platinum or Meteor Rocks. I'm looking for places very detailed. Just wondering if anyone could have gone through this kind of a guidebook. Thanks in advance …
