Metal Detector Books

Recently I decided I needed a hobby, something to get me out of the house, fresh air and gives me some exercise too. So with that mind I went to purchase myself a metal detector at the advice of a friend of mine.
What could be better I thought it was outdoors, walking up and down, and find a hidden treasure.
So a few weekends ago I loaded my new metal detector in the car and drove to a deserted stretch of coast, not far from where we live. It was a bit cold and there was a breeze off the sea, but did not bother me that I was excited about what I might find hiding under the sand and pebbles.
I opened the metal detector, put the headphones on my head, at least to my ears would be protected from the cold, and went on my first sweep selected area. Not long after I started it started to rain slightly but kept going, hoping that all important sound through headphones.
Two hours later, I was soaked to the skin, cold and warnings I have heard only result in finding some old pieces of rusty scrap metal.
When I got home I called my friend Cody and told him what had happened. He laughed, which made me feel better at all.
Cody went on to say with me that when he started ten years earlier had similar results. But over the years I learned so much that we now consider himself as an expert in metal detecting.
So much so, he said, he had written a book on the subject gladly gave me a copy.
When I read it really impressed me. The tips and secrets revealed Cody in his book are impressive. I can not wait to go to test new techniques for me.
