Lost Treasures From Around The World

Girls, do you like this poem? Age and feedback?

Up till now I’ve always thought,
With love a losing battle I have fought,
No one around for me to call my girl,
No one around, to make my world,
But then suddenly from nowhere there was you,
When there was only one, there now are two,
Together we wander, through the great halls of life,
And you help me to forget all the struggles and strife,
And I can’t help but think, that my losses before,
Were to make sure I treasure you and to never ignore,
The small things you do that brighten my day,
I love you girl, that’s all I need say.

Did you write that? It is really sweet. I must say I do like it. I’m 18.
Although, may I make a little suggestion?
Change “When there was only one, there now are two,” to “Where there was only one, there now are two’”
