SHOPPING IN NY, SUGGESTIONS?

Shopping Masterminds in New York City: I will be visiting New York in a couple of weeks and I am planning to devote one day to shopping. I will be cruising Fifth Avenue and might indulge ONE big splurge, but what I am really after are those hidden treasure, fantastic boutiques that only NYC natives know about. Clothes, purses, shoes, incredible sterling silver jewelry, I want to bring a piece of New York back with me that I can wrap myself in.
