Name of old pirate game (windows 95)?

i used to play a pirate game(windows 95 i believe) where you start out by picking your gender,nationality, class(pirate,privateer,merchant), and the difficulty. There were several modes – one was where you would sail in your ship around the caribbean and you were able to do cool stuff like go under the ship and check all of your cargo. It looked as if you were standing on the ship as in sailed over the seas. You would have naval battles with other ships and could even board enemy ships and have a duel with the captain. You also had the ability to land in ports and buy goods. If you ran out of food or water your crew would mutiny and overthrow you. The main objective was to follow an initial riddle to find a hidden treasure. If anyone can tell me the name of the game or where i could find it, I would greatly appreciate it thanks

sounds like tradewinds? theres newer versions that ive played but i dont know if it was older. this sounds just like it though.
