hidden treasure african movie
Movie help, kind of horror-ish, 1980s maybe?

I had like a dream/ de ja vu about this movie.
All I can remember is there is an African-American male stuck in a house with a caucasian female, both are pre-teens, the villian of this film is a man and a woman who seem to be control freaks.

Their house is very special because they have a lot of hidden rooms, escapes, doors that they try to hide from the villiams.

Nearing the end the father of the boy organizes a protest of some sort.

And under their basement there is like a jail of kids that have been turn into monster-like and also there is room full of gold, cash, treasure.

Might have to post this again a few times…
Yes! Thanks you three!

People under the stairs, Wes Craven!

Growing up in Brooklyn’s Red Hook projects, James McBride knew his mother was different. But when he asked about it, she’d simply say, “I’m light-skinned.” Later he wondered if he was different, too, and asked his mother if he was black or white. “You’re a human being,” she snapped. “Educate yourself or you’ll be a nobody!” And when James asked what color God was, she said, “God is the color of wa…

The only one of August Wilson’s plays to be filmed (and for television, at that), this 1990 Pulitzer Prize-winner is an amazing piece of work. Adapted by Wilson and directed by Lloyd Richards, who staged it on Broadway, the play deals not just with racism and its effects but with the ongoing legacy and curse of slavery on modern blacks. Set in 1920s Pittsburgh, the story deals with the arrival of …

Nabonga is a camp film classic from the forties, with such delights as an American girl befriending a giant gorilla in the African jungle. Played by the voluptuous singer Julie London, the young girl was the victim of a plane crash with her white collar criminal father who left valuable treasure scattered in the wilderness. London would surely not have survived if not for her bonding with the larg…
