where is the best place to find treasure in florida?

I know people can find coins that have washed up on the beach in Florida, sometimes from ships that sank long ago….my question is where are the best beaches/areas for this? Do they lie between any particular cities, or is the whole east coast of Florida good for beach combing?

Sebastian Inlet area could be a good area to look for coins on the beach. After visiting the beach for over 65 years, I was not aware anyone had been finding coins on the beach. You do realize that the stste of Florida has laid claim to any and all treasure found anywhere near Florida.

Mel Fisher, who has been finding the most treasure has also laid claim to many diving areas. There is a museum just South of Sebastian Inlet, on highway A1A, dedicated to Florida treasure. I believe Mel Fisher has one in Key West.

Explore the above sites for more locations for treasure hunting. The reason I mentioned the Sebastian Inley area is, the beach is fairly steep and treasure has been found offshore. This combination could bring coins ashore with the fast current.
