Have you ever felt lost? Happiness is lowly leaving me, taking away the essence of what I used to be.?

The light that shined in my eyes is nearly gone.
The twinkle has faded away.
Laughter, passion, love of life is slipping away
leaving me hollow each day..
Looking others in the eye, smiling
is gone so far away from me
that I hang my head and sigh.
I’m becoming invisble,
hiding deeply so no one will know Pam
Love was a treasure from my heart
gave it away at the start.
For me to take “I love you” back
is saying my heart was wrong
makes me tremble with despair.
Thoughts so precious, dreams
I wanted to come true
is tearling me in two.
How do you stitch a heart?
How do you make it whole again?
I hold my heart in my trembling hand
staring, seeing it sift through
my fingers like sand.
I’m to blame and I’m filled with shame.
Shame to know I I was wrong
to love, laugh, hope, cherish
something I thought was so strong.
I’m a shadow of what I used to be
strong, loving, caring and most of all what
made me me.

I think that at some point we have all felt that way. The trick is, to get up, shake it off and resume our lives. An easy thing to say, and difficult to do. You need someone to lean on and help you over the obstacles you can’t surmount alone.
