He couldn’t take it anymore. He had to start digging. After a few shovel fulls of sand, he discovered a coin. The coin Sam dug up was an ancient roman coin worth thousands of dollars. Sam continued going down the beach with the detector. He eventually dug up a chest full of these coins. Sam had found his treasure and was able to retire early.

Obviously, anyone can create their own story using a handheld detector. Treasure does not need to be worth a lot. As long as the treasure has value to the person telling the story, the metal detector stories will be great.
