Presidential Seal of Eagle Clutching Scroll not olive branches ?
When cleaning out my grandmother’s house who passed on recently i found several really old letters and and little pocket notebook like things that were hidden in the attic they all had what i thought was the presidential seal on them but the eagle is not clutching olive branches he is cluthcing a seal. I have always know that i am a relative of William Henry Harrison who was the ninth president of the U.S. and lets get this out of the way now this is not hoax based of the new national treasure. movie Yes i watched the new movie and i told my mother i have seen that symbol before. so i went back to the items i found it on and sure enough there it was. can anyone tell me anything “substantial” about this cause all i am getting is the cold shoulder when i call other relative about this. when i was a kid there always was a room we were told never to go in and i had my butt whooped several times as a kid for trying to go in there. and now i guess i know why. thank you for your hel.
I don’t know what you mean by “scroll.”
What I DO know is that, historically, when the Country is at peace the Eagle faces the olive branch, when at War, he faces the arrows. I think he’s getting a bit dizzy.
